Project Profile

In collaboration with Glue Applications, we wanted to create a mobile application that continually compiled the latest news, weather, traffic, sports and anything else going on in a city centre.

Discovery and Focus

We went through a name generation process and came up with "cityminute" which captured the apps purpose perfectly.

As the application was to be a series, I created a templateable "urban rush" style that could be applied to various cities as we rolled them out. It features a picture of the respective city and use of oversaturated colors based on the cities prominent sports teams.

Results

The Apps are available across Android, Blackberry, iOS and Windows phone. The iOS series feature in the top 10 when a user does a search for the city name. Not bad for the little App that could.
